Vehicle owners often remap/tune their ECUs to:
Increase power and torque: By optimizing engine performance, remapping can unlock more horsepower and torque.
Enhance throttle response: Remapping can make the engine more responsive to changes in throttle input.
How itโs done: Remapping/Tuning can be done via the vehicleโs OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) port, Bench (Removal of the ECU to read directly from the pinout of the ECU itself) or Boot mode (removal of the ecu from its casing and reading directly from the ECU) which allows for software changes to be made without physically removing or opening the ECU. The file is then modified by our experts in house to give you the best specified gains.
IMMOBILIZER DELETE
What is an immobilizer delete?
Immobilizer Delete is a service that disables or removes the immobilizer system from an ECU. This system is designed to prevent the engine from starting unless a recognized key is present. Essentially, it makes the carโs engine control unit (ECU) ignore the immobilizerโs signals, allowing the car to start regardless of the key.
Why delete?
Some reasons for deleting the immobilizer include:
Trouble with keys: If the key fobs are not recognized or if cloning or reprogramming keys fails, a delete might be necessary.
ECU issues: If the ECU is damaged or needs to be replaced, deleting the immobilizer can simplify the process.
Customization/Modifications: Deleting the immobilizer can make it easier to swap or modify the ECU, especially for tuning or engine swaps.
Cost savings: In some cases, deleting the immobilizer can be cheaper than replacing the ECU or key fobs.
